About
Dr. Jack Welch has served as a Coach and Administrator for over 40 years. During Dr. Welch's career he served as a head football coach at the NAIA, NJCAA, and Texas 6A levels and a coordinator at the NCAA D1 FBS, FCS and D2 levels. Welch is the winningest coach in history of Ft. Scott Community College and Copperas Cove, TX High School.
Welch has obtained a Mid-Management Certification, Superintendent Certification and Doctor of Education degree (Dissertation on school finance). Welch has served as a speaker for the Texas Rural Educators Association and shared with multiple leading educational lawyers debating state funding needs. While the pressures of the athletic program at Copperas Cove were intense, Welch was responsible for supervising 90+ employees, which included athletic grounds maintenance crew, all athletic custodians and athletic business office, all athletic facilities ensuring local/state compliance, all high school and two junior high athletics personnel. While providing the impetus for one of the state’s most successful athletic programs, Welch exercised sufficient self-discipline to receive a Doctor of Education degree.
